Dear Colleagues, It's the first day of the year, and I'd want to wish you a Happy New Year. My wish for you in the next year is happiness, a sense of joy and fulfillment. But we both know that imagining a year filled with nothing but bliss is neither simple nor practical. So instead I'll make some suggestions about how we can work together to achieve more of what brings us joy.
Since I am sure that you are like me and have many friends, I thought I would write to you and tell you how I hope you fare this year and the years to come. Of course, I cannot predict what will happen, so please understand if my wishes are vague or general. However, since friendship is a partnership, I think it only fair that you hear from me once in a while even if it's just to say hello and give your advice when asked.
I'd want to wish you a very happy birthday ahead of time! God bless you with happiness, wealth, good health, and a long life. When you add years to your life, I want you to add years to mine. Michael, I am honored to call you a friend. Thank you for giving me the chance to know you better. I look forward to continuing our friendship for many more birthdays to come!

Now you are an adult and can send your own letters, but they would mean a lot if you wrote them. After all, you were there from the beginning of some very important times in our lives. Write about what you have learned from them. Tell them how much they mean to you. Maybe even give them a small gift such as one of those chocolate bars that everyone loves so much.

It doesn't have to be long - just a few short sentences saying how much you appreciate them and what they've done for you. Giving gifts is also a great idea - something simple like a card or candy would be perfect.
Your teacher probably spends their birthday alone because no one else really cares about what day it is. But you should care enough to send them a message telling them how much you appreciate them and remembering some of the good times you had together.
Teenagers are typically amazing: they are clever, fun, and cool! But you... you're the greatest of all time! I'd like to wish you a day filled with extra, super-duper amazing, 13-year-old joy! You're only 13 once, so make the most of this lovely year. Here are some ideas for what you could do on your special day:
Start by thinking about what kind of person you want to be. Do you want to be popular? Or wise? Decide what it is you want to accomplish in life and go for it!
Then, make a list of your favorite things. Music, movies, books, games, websites... whatever! Maybe you could watch a certain movie on your birthday every year? Or listen to an album from start to finish?
Finally, give yourself a gift. What could you get yourself that would make you happy? Maybe buy yourself something small, like new makeup or clothes? Or maybe treat yourself to something big, such as tickets to a concert or game? Any way you look at it, giving yourself a gift is important!
