Begin by coming up with an interesting and catchy title for your newspaper. "Jack turns 50," "Emma's Sweet 16," "40 is the New 30," or "It's Olivia's birthday, yay!" are some examples. It's always exciting to come up with a title that exactly describes the individual in question. After deciding on a title, start planning how you will include everything about the person on which title you have chosen.
Now you need to decide what type of newspaper you want to create. There are two main types of birthdays newspapers: in-depth and brief. In-depth articles usually explore topics such as favorite hobbies, history, and future dreams of the birthday person. Brief articles typically cover only one topic (such as pets' best friends) or feature interviews with several people (such as everyone who has loved ones over the age of 30).
Finally, choose a format for your newspaper. The options here are plain paper, card stock, or vinyl. If you choose plain paper, you can write anything you want on it and decorate it any way you like. Card stock is thicker than paper and makes for a good background material when writing about serious topics. Vinyl records are awesome because not only does it look cool, but also sounds cool when played at low volumes!
Decide how long you want your newspaper to be before starting to write. You should plan on adding at least three columns of content plus a cover page.
Consider your birthdays and seek for recollections that should be on your "story idea" list. Write a narrative about a memorable birthday you remember right now. What made it unique? Tell about all of the extras, whatever they were: cake, presents, party, etc (or the lack of any or all of these). You can use details from your own life to inspire you. The more specific you are, the better.
Here are some tips for getting started:
• Start with a simple question: "What is one thing about my birthday that I can say without a doubt?" Use clues from your memory to answer this question. For example, if you were born in February, then you might want to write about the importance of friends and family in one girl's life. There was probably a party with treats and gifts, which would help you remember what you need to include in your story.
• Now, let the story begin! Remember, less is more so go into detail about only one or two things. If you get distracted by other memories or ideas, then you'll never finish your story.
• Don't worry about spelling or grammar at first. Just write freely about the things you remember.
• After you've written your first draft, read it out loud. Make any necessary changes based on how it sounds to you.
If you know the individual well, you may say something like, "Happy birthday, Patty." If you know this individual well, you may say, "Happy birthday, Patty." I'll never forget how you surprised me on my 16th birthday. " Happy birthday, Jessica!" It is also appropriate to write your own personal message for a birthday gift.
In addition to writing a meaningful message, you should also choose a suitable gift. There are several things to consider when choosing a gift for someone's birthday. First, think about what the person likes and try to get them something they will enjoy using or seeing everyday. For example, if the person likes sports cars, it would be perfect if you could buy them a new Ferrari but if they like music then it could be better if you bought them a set of headphones so they could listen to music while they work out or play after they have finished their daily tasks.
You should also check whether there are any special events coming up that might affect what you can give as a present. For example, if someone's birthday is close to Christmas time, you shouldn't buy them something too expensive as they may not be able to afford it. Finally, look at the type of person they are and choose a gift that will mean something special to them. For example, if the person is very organized, you could get them a diary/calendar to help them keep track of their days easily.
