Typing an asterisk followed by a space at the beginning of a paragraph will generate a bullet point. When you exit that paragraph, a bullet point is formed (i.e., by pressing Enter). Bullets generated with this feature will be formatted in the standard bullet format. They can be inserted into the text using the Table of Contents or Index features.
How to Add Bullet Points to a Plain Text Email
Bullet points are used to draw the reader's attention to important information within a document, allowing them to quickly identify the key issues and facts. There are no hard and fast rules on how to utilize them, but here are some suggestions: The sentence that introduces the series of bullet points should be followed by a colon. Each subsequent line of the point should have two sentences - the first describing the issue that needs highlighting, the second giving the solution or action you want readers to take.
So, for example, if you were creating a list of advantages and disadvantages of living in London, you could use this format: Advantages: It's very easy to get around. Disadvantages: You can't see the stars at night. Solution: Go outside!
You can also use bullets to highlight important details in your article. For example, if you were writing a piece for your school newspaper about the history of Christmas, you could use these tips to help make your story more interesting:
Holidays such as Christmas exist because they're an opportunity for everyone to relax and have some time off work. However, many people claim that their job is stressful and requires them to work over the holiday period. Therefore, eliminating holidays would not only be bad for employees' mental health, but also for employers' profits.
Christmas has its origins in Christianity and the birth of Jesus Christ.
How to Insert a LaTeX Bullet Point
Select the first paragraph to be bulleted. Select List Bullet from the style box on the toolbar (Figure 1). This will result in a bullet at the start of the paragraph. You still have two paragraphs to format. It is important that you do not select any text when using the list bullet style because this would change the number of bullets included in the list.
