Look at the "Home" tab of Word's Ribbon once you've picked your content. Click the "Strikethrough" button in the "Font" category (it's the three letters with a line drawn through them). Any text you choose should now be striked through. You may also use the Font window to add strikethrough formatting.
To launch the Format Cells dialog box, use Ctrl + 1. Select the Font tab from the drop-down menu. Choose Strikethrough. Click the OK button. Select the cell where you want to place the strikethrough format.
Make a border around the selected text.
A strikethrough is a typeface effect that makes text look like it has been crossed out. A double strikethrough is a type of strikethrough that has two lines through it instead of one. These are used to indicate deleted words or phrases.

StrikeThrough text is text that has a line across the middle of it. This is strikethrough text, for example. Text that has been struck through is sometimes known as "strikeout" or "strikedout" text. On the internet, it denotes unavailable information or anything that is incorrect.
Strikethrough text can be used in any kind of document, but it is most commonly seen in articles, such as this one. It is useful when trying to explain something that is not relevant to the topic at hand or providing additional information about something that isn't essential to understanding the article.
Some fonts have strikeout characters, others don't. If your font doesn't include these characters, you will need to find another way to indicate deleted text. Options include using color, bolding parts of the sentence, or inserting images.
In this case, since no special characters are available in the default Times New Roman font, color has been used instead. The color red has been used to highlight the deleted words.
Deleted text can also be included in screenshots or drawings and then embedded in the HTML source code of the page. This allows for deleted text to be displayed while still allowing the rest of the page to be accessible. For example, in the screenshot below, the word "delete" has been written in the margin next to some content that is irrelevant to the point being made here.
Navigate to Home > Borders to access the border selection menu. Make a border around the selected text.
