The scheme's objectives are to (a) promote the creation of e-content in all subjects; (b) develop resources for teachers and experts in e-content creation; and (c) make the e-content available to teachers and students through various delivery modes for formal and non-formal education, supplementing and complementing...

In addition, by stimulating demand for e-content, it is hoped that the scheme will contribute to improving teaching and learning in schools across India.

How does it work?

The scheme is open to Indian citizens who were born after 30 November 1979. Eligible participants can receive up to Rs. 50,000 ($1,100) per year for a maximum of four years. The amount can be received in equal installments throughout the year. It is also possible to receive only half of the annual award.

Applications must be submitted online at ecourts.gov.in by 5 p.m. on the last day of January every year. The next application window will open on the same site on 5 p.m. on 29 January 2018.

Only one application per eligible participant can be accepted. However, if an applicant has not received payment within six months of submission of their application, they are free to submit another application.

Proposals for I e-Content content production and/or (ii) e-Content program development can be submitted to CEC by any of the following: (a) Instructors, including retired teachers affiliated with colleges and universities, with undergraduate or post-graduate teaching experience. (b) Professionals in the fields of journalism, publishing, marketing, web design, software engineering, etc.

The content developer will be responsible for producing all the material included in the course curriculum, which may include writing articles, creating graphics, recording podcasts, and so on.

They should have a good understanding of computer programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A background in science or technology is also preferred.

What are the instructional designs followed for E-content development?

Analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation are the six steps of e-content development. Analysis involves identifying what is needed or wanted by users, which can be done through research or intuition. Design includes determining how to meet these needs or wants through conceptualization of materials.

Development includes creating materialized ideas through writing, graphics, or other means. Testing evaluates how well your material meets its intended purpose through user surveys or experiments.
