What is the main idea of the poem, my first inspiration?

My First Source of Inspiration (Mi Primera Inspiracion, 1874) Jose Rizal's poetry writings express his undying love and admiration for his mother. This was his way of paying gratitude to his loving mother's efforts on his behalf. As a young boy, Rizal showed an interest in writing at an early age. His father hoped that he would become an attorney like him but Jose wanted to be a writer. In the year 1872, the Philippine Revolution began and Rizal joined up as a civil servant. He was assigned by the government to go to Japan and study law there for three years. While he was away, his mother wrote many poems about her son and her hopes and dreams for him. When Jose returned from abroad, he brought back many books with him on European history and literature. These stories inspired Rizal to write his own works which include Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not), El Filibusterismo (The Filibustering Movement) and Misa para la Martinica (Mass for Martinique).

His mother's death in 1880 caused him great sorrow because she was all he had left now that his father died too. With no family members left, Jose decided to travel overseas to find work so he could support himself and his sisters.

Upon his return to the Philippines, Jose worked hard to help his country by writing political essays and articles.

Why was Jose Rizal's poem my first inspiration?

My First Source of Inspiration (Mi Primera Inspiracion, 1874) This poem was composed in celebration of his mother's birthday, as the phrases "perfume of the flowers," "bird melodies," "feast your day of bloom," and "festive day" imply. Jose Rizal's poetry writings express his undying love and admiration for his mother.

In this poem, he expresses how beautiful his mother is and how she deserves all the happiness in the world because she is a good person. This shows that Jose Rizal was very much like him in an earlier age when they were both young and had no knowledge of life's pain and suffering. Also, it demonstrates that even though he was born into a poor family, he had good morals since he would not insult or dishonor his mother despite her not being alive to punish him if he did.

Rizal also expresses his desire to become a lawyer like his father so he can help his fellow men. He hopes to be able to do this by writing poems and essays that will make people think and feel sorry for the poor prisoners who are being tortured during the Spanish colonial period.

His intention is to show how sad and miserable their lives are by comparing them to songs that birds sing on bright summer days. He believes that with some changes, these prisoners could have happy lives like other people if only they were given a chance.

What is the first poem written by Jose Rizal?

Mga Kabata sa Aking Mga Kabata Naga City, 1980 [with Author's Notes from 2011]. —- "Sa Aking Mga Kabata" ("To My Fellow Children") is Jose Rizal's debut poem. Rizal was just eight years old when he wrote it in 1869. The poem was published for the first time in La Solidaridad on January 1, 1880.

Rizal's parents were wealthy landowners who owned much of present-day Manila. But due to political disagreements, they were forced to move several times. This caused Rizal to go to different schools. He finally was sent to a French school where he learned to read and write.

When Rizal was 14 years old, his father was imprisoned on charges of treason. Rizal then had to leave school and work as an editor for a newspaper called "La Solidaridad". In this role, he came up with ideas for articles and poems that were then printed in the paper.

After two years, his father was released from prison. However, because of more political problems, the family had to move again. This time, they went to live in San Francisco, California. There, Rizal worked as an editor for another newspaper called "The Filipino Reporter".

In 1888, the family returned to Manila where Rizal started his own newspaper called "La Vanguardia".
